Brian was my coach for several years and eventually coached me to win the British Masters for which I am very thankful. His enthusiasm for the sport he loved was renowned amongst the weight lifting community and he gave up many hours to instruct and recruit lifters selflessly. His kindness, skills, leadership and patience will be missed and irreplaceable and my deepest commiserations go to his family.
